It's kind of strange actually. I was just browsing the Mac Pros yesterday and thinking that they deserve an update. Here it is today. Mac Pros get an over 3GHz processor option and up to 8TB of space? I'm sorry what? 8 terabytes? 8,000 GB of space. That's incredible. I'm not actually completely sure how to BEGIN using all that space. Maybe like 500 HD movies? That wouldn't even fill it up.

Anyway, at apple.com/macpro, the base configuration is still the same. But, if you click Buy Now, you go to the Customize page where you see many more options. Up to 16GB of memory, 4 2TB hard drives, a 3.33GHz Intel Xeon "Nehalem" processor. This is a true powerhouse. If you can't run anything on this computer, all hope is lost.

Please keep in mind this is not the MacBook Pro, this is the Mac Pro -- a desktop. And also to keep in mind: these additional customizations can rack the price up to around $10,000 even when the base configuration is just $2,400. Check out apple.com/macpro for details.
