After years and years of waiting for an Apple Tablet, the iPad has finally arrived. Apple unveiled it at their event in San Francisco today less than two hours ago. This thing is based on the iPhone operating system, and you can download all the apps from the iPhone onto your iPad.

The iPad has a 9.7" display and is just 0.5" thick. Not only is it a giant iPod Touch, you can also download books from the new iBooks app that comes with the iPad. Plus, you can surf the web if you buy an AT&T 3G package (iPad available exclusively on AT&T only) or you can purchase a Wi-Fi model. AT&T has two packages - 250MB for $14.99/mo and unlimited for $29.99.

Check your emails, play with apps, even use a built in version of iWork on this device. Plus, sync with iTunes for all your movies, music, photos, TV shows, bookmarks, etc. It even has an optional external keyboard if you wish. Pictures below:
