It's certainly been quite a week for Facebook. With the 400 million user milestone, a new home page redesign... Facebook has been in the news quite a lot. But now once more they have another announcement. A brand new photo uploader.

They state that people have complained about technical issues uploading with the current Java uploader. So now they have their own. It actually comes as a plugin. Install the quick plugin one time only, and then get a brand new interface for uploading photos from your computer.

And the best part? It has background uploading. This means you can begin an upload and navigate to a different page and it will still upload, no cancellation.

The new photo uploader will be rolled out over the course of the next few weeks.
