MWC Review: HTC Legend and Desire

MWC Review: HTC Legend and Desire

HTC, so far, is taking the spotlight at today's edition of Mobile World Congress with two great new phones -- oh, and the less important HTC HD mini running Windows Mobile 6.5 -- the two great phones being the HTC Legend and HTC Desire.

The HTC Legend is one of the sleekest and sexiest phones I've ever seen. Look at the picture to the left of this, it's so attractive. What's inside the phone is attractive also. It runs Android 2.1, has a 600 MHz processor, a 5MP camera on the back, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and GPS. It sports a 3.2" touch screen but it also has an optical trackball at the bottom (the circle you see). It's aluminum casing is absolutely stunning and it makes the phone just look great.

Now for the older brother, the Desire. Some call it HTC's answer to the Nexus One (even though HTC manufactured the Nexus One in partnership with Google). It has a 3.7" AMOLED display, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and most of the features of the Nexus One, except for the Sense UI and a trackpad instead of a trackball at the bottom. It also includes HTC's friend stream, and Flash compatibility too. With all the talk of no Adobe flash support in certain phones, it's refreshing to hear HTC has added that to their phone.

Overall, these are two very good phones being released by HTC. HTC certainly has an eye for sleekness. The promo video for the Desire is below.
