YouTube Finally Kills IE6 Support
March 13th is the lucky date, or well, unlucky date for users of Internet Explorer 6. YouTube will stop all support for Internet Explorer 6, the nearly decade-old browser. Why? With new technologies, it becomes a challenge to fit them into browsers that simply do not support the new technologies because they are so old. Plus, IE6 definitely has its security risks as well. While people are really starting to get the idea that they need to upgrade, some insist on sticking with what they know.
The message reads:
On March 13, we are dropping support for your browser. You'll still be able to watch videos after that date, but new features might not work properly. There must be 50 ways to leave your browser--here are 5.After that, links are provided to download any one of the top five main browsers. Maybe this will finally click with users to make the step in upgrading their old browser. My recommendation? Google Chrome.
