iPhone Multitasking to Work Like Mac Expose?
Can I first just point out that we don't even know if multitasking will come to exist on the iPhone in OS 4.0, let-alone know that it will work like Mac OS X's Expose feature. With that in mind, AppleInsider has reported that "those familiar with the design of iPhone 4.0" said that multitasking on the iPhone will look much like Expose on the Mac. Expose is a feature where clicking and holding an icon on the dock will bring up thumbnails of all the windows running for that program in order to switch to one.

Apparently, using a sequence such as double-tapping the Home button on your iPhone will bring up a list of icons with all the iPhone apps currently running. Tap one, and you're back to that application.
Apple's current solution for stalling multitasking abilities is its push notification service, available on version 3.0. Without being able to actually run apps simultaneously, you can receive badges, alerts, or sounds automatically when new content has been pushed to an app--that is, if the app supports the service.
That's right folks, it's Apple week. The majority of the posts on Bitts have been about Apple with all these iPhone rumors churning out, plus the release of the iPad this Saturday, April 3rd.
