My Own Top 5 Favorite iPhone Apps

My Own Top 5 Favorite iPhone Apps

Sure, you can go ahead and read top iPhone apps in certain categories on other websites, but what about adding a little heart? Oh yes, it's time. Here are my top five favorite iPhone apps that I have on my iPhone.

5. Meebo - Free
This is simply the best way to chat with people among multiple networks on the iPhone. For so long I was looking for a good multi-network iPhone app for instant messaging, and I was loved Meebo on the internet, but was disappointed in the fact that it had no app. Now that it finally has one, it's very exciting and works nice and simple. One downside is that it can be a bit slow on start up.

4. Urbanspoon - Free
This is probably one of the older iPhone applications, but it still gets the job done. I am always befuddled at what restaurant to go to, and with a quick shake, Urbanspoon can find one for me. Plus it gives reviews and ratings, and the ability to favorite restaurants and manually search for one.

3. Doodle Jump - $0.99
Doodle Jump is by far the most addicting game I have ever played on the iPhone, and I'm starting to question if it's the most addicting game I've ever played. Period. There's something about simple, easy to use games that make it so fun. Instead of complex games with ten different button sequences and what not, just bounce on some platforms and shoot monsters! It's that simple. Oh and my record is 43,000.

2. Facebook - Free
I think everyone saw this coming. It was only until version 3.0 that this app was my favorite. Before that it was slow, buggy, and the user interface was just far from perfect. Now, the app has many features from the Facebook desktop experience, plus its fast and has a nice design to it. Oh and push notifications are a plus.

1. Tweetie 2 - $2.99
Some people are just so unwilling to pay for a Twitter app a full $3, but trust me my friends, this one is worth it.  It completely surpasses any other Twitter app on the iPhone by a landslide. I thought the first version of Tweetie was perfect but when 2.0 came out, I was clearly proven wrong. This app has absolutely everything it needs to, plus it's fast and has such an elegant user interface. The design truly lives up to Apple's standards of being sleek and innovational. It's such a pleasure to use.

So there you have it. My favorite iPhone apps. I was also going to put iVideoCamera since I only have the iPhone 3G for now, but since people with the 3GS don't really need that app, I left it out. Click here to go to the app store now.
