Fresh new logo for Hotmail

The Microsoft Windows team announced on their blog that they will begin to focus on their new line of Windows Live services, entitled Windows Live Wave 4. The main product enhancements will be seen in Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Hotmail, and Windows Live essentials -- a pack of free software programs for your program helping to connect with everything on your PC and web.
In their blog post, they repeated quite a bit on the fact that they will enhance this suite of services to better connect with social networks. They explained Windows Live Messenger will not just be about instant messaging, but also building upon the social evolution. Hotmail is no longer just plain text, it has style with images and videos to enhance your ability to share.
As for Windows Live Essentials, it seems that not just social integration will be coming, but a whole slew of features that will enable you to sync your life together. A quote pulled from the article reads:
We’ll focus on connecting your PC to your social networks, your photo sharing services, your phone, and your other PCs – and help you keep things in sync across all the devices you use.
