Google Chrome 5.0 Stable on Mac, PC

Today Google officially removed the 'beta' tag for the first time from Google Chrome for Mac and Linux as well and released version 5.0 as a stable version for Mac, Linux, and Windows. Coincidentally, today is exactly four months after the previous major stable release, Chrome 4.0. Today's release comes with a bunch of new features and of course performance improvements, but they are far from groundbreaking.

You can now sync browser preferences as well as bookmarks. These include home page settings, themes, web content settings, zoom settings, and languages. Extensions can now be manually turned on for incognito mode use on the extensions page one by one if you feel it's necessary. Plus there's some more HTML5 features such as drag-and-drop and geolocation APIs and a new bookmark manager as seen below. Google also announced today that Adobe Flash Player will soon be paired with Google Chrome upon download of Chrome.
