Facebook released an update to their iPhone app last night, version 3.1.3 which would finally allow users to view videos uploaded to Facebook on the iPhone app. Previously, users were unable to watch videos because videos on Facebook are encoded in Flash.

Other features in this update include photos to now be at the new standard of 720px in width when uploaded through your iPhone, and the ability to view Event walls and write on them.

Existing users can get the update for free in the app store and any others might want to check it out.
