Today Hulu has announced Hulu Plus, their new subscription service that will allow subscribers access to all the episodes in a specific show's season from ABC, NBC, and FOX. Plus, subscribers will get more of their shows in high definition. But the biggest story here is probably the long rumored apps coming to the app store. Hulu Plus will be available as an app for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Plus, Hulu is going a step further by integrating Hulu Plus into select Samsung televisions and Blu-ray players with support for PS3 and XBox 360 coming later this year or early 2011 as well as Sony and Vizio televisions.

All of this will be available for $9.99 a month, which is a first for Hulu, which currently has a user base that is based on consuming free content.
