Apparently, at the Cannes Lions advertising conference, a Microsoft representative slipped out the juicy details of when Windows Phone 7 (aka Windows Mobile 7.0) will be released! According to this representative, Mich Mathews, Senior VP or Marketing, that date will fall some time within October. It's not sure if this was intentional of if Mathews simply couldn't hold in the news anymore, but it's out! Microsoft did launch Windows 7 last October and they last said Windows Phone 7 would launch for the holidays, so there could be a correlation between both Windows launches.
