9to5Mac appears to have been the first one to notice that the Apple iPhone Developer website is down and displaying the image presented above. Sure enough, I checked and it is down. You may all know that when Apple updates products, their online store goes down. Now with the Developer site down, could this be an all new software update? Possibly the awaited iOS 4 for iPad beta or even GM seed? Stay tuned.

Update (3:25p ET): It appears as though nothing as been changed or added. Wasted hype.
