Normally, new iPods are announced each September, but the latest in Apple rumors suggests that new iPods may be right around the corner. Sources close to Apple say that an event is planned to be held either August 16th or 17th to announce a refresh of new iPods. The iPod Touch is supposed to include a front facing camera for FaceTime video calls as well as a built in gyroscope -- both of which were added to the iPhone 4.

Rumors also suggest that Apple will also unveil an updated version of their iLife suite for Mac at this event, which hasn't been updated since Macworld 2009 with the introduction of iLife '09. iTunes 10 is also expected to arrive this year.
