Apple Unveils new iPod Touch, Shuffle, and Nano
Apple today unveiled several new iPod devices at their music-centric event.
The new iPod nano has a small touch screen that mimics iOS. It has a customizable background and home screen with nearly the same features as the previous nano. The multi-touch display replaces Apple's famous click wheel. Plus the new nano is almost half the size as before. It retails for $149 and $179 for 8GB and 16GB models.
The new iPod Touch gets almost everything the iPhone 4 received at WWDC10. There's a retina display, HD video recording and editing front-facing camera, FaceTime video calling, and a slimmer design. Plus, the iPod Touch will ship with iOS 4.1 with Game Center, a new interactive way to share game scores and stats with friends running an iOS device. This retails for $229, $299, and $399 for 8GB, 32GB, and 64GB models.
The new iPod shuffle comes in five colors and is available for $49 for 2GB. This time around, it adds physical buttons to the device, whereas the previous model had all the controls on the earphones.
