Windows Phone 7 Development is Complete

Microsoft has finished development today on Windows Phone 7, their upcoming mobile operating system to succeed Windows Mobile 6.5.x. In this RTM, Microsoft has included a number of improvements since the beta. Facebook contact syncing now only sync with current contacts in your phone rather than all your Facebook friends, there's new support in the People Hub for liking posts, and there's a few other bug fixes and user interface enhancements as well.

Manufacturers will now be receiving the mobile OS to be loaded onto new phones and is expected to fully go live by this year's holiday season. Of course, carriers will want to spruce up the OS with a few of their exclusive applications and content as well.
