Another event is coming up from Facebook. This time it very well may be about a totally new product. This event will be just 13 days after Facebook's previous event and I'm starting to think that it's wasted hype. Hopefully this time they won't disappoint, and it doesn't look like it. The rumors are that Facebook will be launching their own email platform. That's right, receive emails using a Facebook domain name.

To strengthen these rumors, it has been confirmed today that Facebook has taken control of the "fb.com" domain name. This may be what they are planning to use for email address (e.g. yourname@fb.com). It's not entirely certain how Facebook will work this email service out, but we can get a hint from the invitation. As you can see, the icon to the left is the same icon for the inbox on Facebook's iPhone app. Check back on Monday for full details after the evnt.
