Bing Launches Their Own Check-In Feature
Bing has launched a huge update to their iPhone and Android apps today that bring a slew of new features, but obviously the one that stands out is their new check-in feature. When you search for a destination or choose to see what's nearby on your Bing app, you'll be able to check-in and share your location to Facebook, Foursquare, and Windows Live Messenger. Unfortunately there is no Twitter right now.
Microsoft is taking this feature a step further than the rest though, with the launch of Plans. The "Plans" feature will allow you to create a new plan to go somewhere or even multiple places and invite friends by sharing the search results to your Facebook wall and planning a night "based on the 'likes' and 'comments' of your friends."
It looks like Bing is really getting in on the location services features. Other features in these app updates include a redesigned homepage, restaurant search filters, OpenTable and GrubHub support, Bing Streetside (*cough* Google Street View *cough*), and Bing Vision to search with your camera by taking a photo.
