Happy One Year Anniversary Bitts!
I'm actually a little late on this, but December 1st was the one year anniversary of Bitts. The first article was actually posted on November 16, 2009 but techbitts.com officially launched to the public on December 1st. I'd just like to say thank you to all the readers. I'd like to list some of the great accomplishments that this small little technology blog has accomplished over the past year, with hopefully many more to come throughout 2011.
- Right now there's over 3,600 followers/subscribers. This includes Twitter, Facebook, Digg, RSS, and email.
- 744 articles posted including this one.
- We've been linked to by Peopleware (sapo. pt, 6th most popular website in Portugal), PCWorld, and Nokia.
- Peaked into the Top 300 gadget blogs on Technorati.
- Three different variations of the site design, plus our current Christmas enhancement.
- Two live chats for the Microsoft Kin event and the more prominent WWDC 2010.
- Added Emmaleigh Winshell as an additional author.
- And where would we be without the Konami Code?
... Just to name a few. Overall, I'm really proud in what a small blog has been able to accomplish. Hopefully we can grow next year even more-so than this year. This means more authors, more readers, more subscribers, oh and profit would be a plus too.
So thanks to everyone who's been reading Bitts, posting comments, and being loyal to the site. I try to add a uniqueness to the website from other technology blogs -- whether it be fresh opinionated articles, a minimalistic design, or participatory live chats. As always, the number one goal is to just post the top technology articles of the day, and we will continue to do so as long as Bitts lives on.
