Facebook's New Profile Begins Rolling Out Whether You Like It or Not

Facebook unveiled a new profile design last month that was modeled after the home page. Navigation is on the left, friends and lists are underneath that. Your feed is of course on the middle with your most recently tagged photos above that and some tidbits of information about yourself above that. On the right is advertisements as well as a "friendship" summary if you are visiting a friend's profile. Enthusiasts were able to learn more here and manually opt-in to the new design if they chose to do so.

Today Facebook posted to their blog that the option is no longer available. The new design begins rolling out to everyone today with not a single possible way to get back to the old design. Facebook will most likely improve on the design once it's rolled out. For instance, I really don't like how my videos are grouped under the Photos section. I don't like it in iOS and I don't like it on Facebook.

So of course you probably know what time it is. It's time for everyone to sharpen their pitch forks and terrorize Facebook HQ for even thinking of moving profile navigation from the top of the page to the left of the page. Never fear, fellow tech enthusiasts. We know Facebook probably has plans in store for the future to enhance the new design.
