Google Chrome is getting updated with a new icon. What's missing? Well the chrome! As you can see the new icon on the right looks more like a beach volleyball than it does a chrome orb. That said, it's a simple and fresh icon for the browser. If you use the developer build of Chrome, you will have already noticed this new icon, but Google says it will be made official on the beta and stable builds in the coming weeks.

It seems like the only company pushing gloss these days is Apple.
