The above is a line for the iPad 2 in Manhattan, New York one week after the iPad 2 originally launched on March 11th. These types of lines aren't just happening in New York -- they are happening everywhere. With reports in that Apple may have to delay shipments of iPad 2 even further because of the crisis in Japan, people have continued to line up every morning in front of Apple stores to hopefully get their hands on the tablet.

Apple stores have been getting small shipments in now and then, but only the people at the very front of the line have been able to snag one. The rest have had to try again the next morning, unsure of whether or not the Apple store would get in any shipments at all. Right now it seems the best bet is to get home, order online, and wait the 4-5 weeks to get it shipped to your house.
