YouTube Goes Back to 1911 for April Fools' Day

New logo
Google and YouTube are pretty big on pranks for April Fools' Day and this year is no exception. YouTube has decided to travel back 100 years into the past to 1911. There's a new logo placed on the site and a special "1911" button on every video. Clicking it will bring you back to the past with the grain, lines, skips, sepia, and of course that classical upbeat piano music. There's even a promotional video which can be seen after the break.

Last year on April Fools' Day, YouTube pranked us with a text-only viewing mode for videos that displayed all videos with lines of text. It was said to help cut down on bandwidth costs.
