Zuckerberg Changes Facebook Privacy
Moments ago, Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg posted a letter on the Facebook blog saying big changes would be coming soon to the way privacy settings actually work. In the beginning of Facebook and still now, there are networks for people to join depending on school, company, regions, etc. Well, as Facebook grew bigger, they realize this isn't the best way to keep privacy anymore.
So, they are removing networks all together. In the letter he explains they will simplify privacy settings over the coming weeks among friends, friends of friends, or everyone. Finally, you will also be able to control who sees individual pieces of content, (e.g. a specific status update to only be viewed by one person, everyone, etc. if you choose).
I personally like the changes being made and I think it's a step forward into better privacy controls around Facebook. These changes will be made over the course of the next few weeks, and soon you will be asked to review your current privacy settings to possibly make changes for the new options.
