UPDATE (5:38 PM): It's also rumored now by Fox News that the iPhone OS 4.0 software is to be revealed along with the tablet next Wednesday. It's a bit odd because last year it wasn't revealed until March at the iPhone SDK conference, but it is said that the iPhone 4.0 software has references to the tablet, which is why it may be announced together. The next-gen iPhone device, on the other hand, is still expected as always in June.

Also, the new version of iLife for Mac (iLife '10) is expected to make its debut. This will probably be the case, seeing that every year they ship a new version of iLife and iWork in January.

BREAKING: Apple confirmed minutes ago their event on January 27th. On the poster it says "Come see our latest creation" with invitations being sent out as we speak. Which, as all rumors point to, a TABLET! The long awaited tablet could be less than two weeks away and it's right under our noses. It will take place at 10am PST, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco.

If Apple is advertising a new creation, it certainly doesn't mean a new Mac or iPhone, it means a whole new product together and I think the public as put two and two together. One of the most sacred, awaited product rumors of all time -- the Apple tablet.
