Google Docs: Storage on "The Cloud"

Google Docs: Storage on "The Cloud"

Google Docs today began rolling out a feature to all Google Apps users (hah, Bitts uses Apps) that enables use of the emerging "cloud storage" standard. You can store up to 1GB of any Google Docs files on the cloud to access from anywhere and then retrieve it. Additional storage will cost an extra $3.25 per gigabyte per year, but expanding storage is not yet available. Users can upload any file up to 250MB.

On top of that, an API for cloud storage allows users to download or purchase third party applications such as Memeo Connect for Google Apps to sync everything up across multiple computers. Sort of like MobileMe without the hefty price tag.
