BREAKING: Twitter is beginning to launch location-based trending topics. Now, not only can you see worldwide topics, but you can see the top trending topics in your area. All you need to do is enter your location and boom, it's instant.

It's not live for everyone yet, but it's being rolled out. Currently, not all cities are supported but they are working on it. This is surely going to help clean up spam and promote local businesses a little better that use Twitter.
