Apple has started a countdown on apple.com counting down to their 10 billionth song download on iTunes--an ultimate milestone, and they are saying thanks. They will be giving away a whopping $10,000 iTunes gift card to the person that downloads that 10 billionth song, whenever it may be.

Right now it's on nearing 9,875,000,000 and one could only imagine if the countdown is real and if it is, people download songs quite often since it's moving pretty damn fast. So take a shot at buying a single song, and you could end up with a lot of cash--restricted to iTunes of course--but it's still something!
