Google's Nexus One phone has released a major software update that flips the on switch for multi-touch functionality, a key feature that was missing at the release of the Nexus One phone. It adds pinch and zoom ability to more than one main application.

The issue with multi-touch is, Apple's supposedly has a patent for it. Other phones have added it and Apple hasn't really said much, so it's time for Google to take the dive. And they did. And they are doing well.
