Opera Browser for iPhone Coming?
Opera already has their current mobile browser, Opera Mini, which already works well on other smartphones but is yet to appear on the iPhone. Now, they are getting serious about releasing Opera Mini for the iPhone and iPod Touch through the app store (since that's the only way in). In a press release blog post, Opera announced plans for the iPhone.
The only problem is getting through the gates of hell that is the app store approval process. There's definitely a good chance that Apple would reject another browser because it duplicates the functionality of iPhone's current, only, successful browser - Safari.
Opera is currently still under development and not publicly available, but it seems as though Opera is striving for it. They plan to release move details and have a hands-on at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona starting February 13th.
