Chatroulette is a new online phenomenon (I guess that's the only word to describe it) that pairs you up, audio and video being selected by default, with a complete stranger just to chat. Then at any point, you can just hit the "Next" button to go to a different stranger. The site became popular in February after getting on the news for its odd nature. Any website with an odd nature, of course, will drive odd people to frequently visit.

The site receives about 500,000 visitors per day and 35,000 people currently chatting at any given time. It uses Adobe Flash player, which is pretty clear by the user interface of the website, which isn't very set apart from the regular Flash UI.

What really gets the word spread about Chatroulette is the number of penises on air at any given time. It's a plethora of sexual predators and perverts. Not only that, but just weird people! They have been videos reported of what looks to be someone actually hanging thyself, and others with blood splatters on the wall. While these may be pranks, we'll never know for sure I suppose. It's also unknown of the strength of security on the website's connections.
