New iPhone Rumors - HD Display, Front Camera, Verizon
Gosh, as much as these iPhone rumors can get the juices pumping, they can also start to get a tad annoying. Well, here it goes. The latest batch of iPhone rumors are in today, just short of the iPad's release on Saturday. All signs seem to point to a brand new HD display - specifically a striking 960x640 display (which I might add is pretty damn close to the iPad's 1024x768 display). It will also feature Apple's A4 processing chip that's used in the iPad, as well as a front facing camera which can slightly be seen in a recent video as well as multitasking on iPhone OS 4.0 which is expected to be bundled with this year's new iPhone, according to Apple's traditional iPhone revamp every summer. This new mythical device is to be dubbed the "iPhone HD".
But... probably the biggest rumor of all time is back once more. It's been around since the iPhone was first introduced back in 2007. When is the iPhone coming on Verizon Wireless? Wall Street Journal may have that answer. They say that they have been getting word that Apple is currently in the midst of working on a new iPhone--one that will be compatible with Verizon's CDMA network, as opposed to AT&T's GSM. Of course, it's highly unlikely Apple would ever switch exclusively to Verizon. Instead, they would add it on to AT&T's current plans. A Verizon iPhone could be ready as early as this September. While that may be good news, it seems odd that September goes out of the usual timeline for iPhone releases.
This special announcement--though all rumored so far--is rumored to be announced on Tuesday, June 22.
