Palm Pre and Pixi Coming to AT&T
The Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus will be coming to AT&T within a few months, as announced by both companies. Both phones run Palm's own webOS operating system. They both originally arrived without the "Plus" suffix exclusively on Sprint, then right before the end of 2009, moved onto Verizon as well, and now Palm will expand its horizons to AT&T with high hope to get more market share in the smartphone category. Apparently, Palm only holds 6% of that share.
AT&T's pricing will be $149 for the Palm Pre Plus and $49 for the Palm Pixi, which is less than Verizon's pricing. Pricing listed is after the $100 mail-in rebate. Both require two year contracts. Once again, these smartphones are expected on AT&T within a few months and no specific date has been revealed yet.
