Google TV to Narrow Gap Between TV and Web

The Wall Street Journal has reported that Google is planning to unveil a new TV set-top box service called Google TV next month at the Google I/O Conference taking place next month in San Francisco on May 19th. This service will apparently try to narrow the gap between the television and internet by getting more internet services onto your television. Just another step into Google's plot to take over the world...

Already partners such as Sony and Intel are expected to unveil products or "apps" that will go on this television software, which by the way is planned to run Android. There are already some TVs that have app stores or close to them, such as Yahoo! Widgets at the bottom of the screen. Google apparently wants to expand that.

Not much is known except for the almost-sure fact that this service will be named Google TV. What Google plans to bring to the table of innovation remains a mystery until next month.
