BREAKING: With Palm just a few weeks ago announcing that it was up for grabs, Hewlett-Packard has decided to take Palm into their own hands with the acquisition.

Jon Rubinstein, CEO of Palm, had a few words: "HP’s longstanding culture of innovation, scale and global operating resources make it the perfect partner to rapidly accelerate the growth of webOS." Of course I'm sure whoever ended up acquiring Palm would get a nice little quote from the CEO. We'll soon see what HP has in mind after this decision.
