Facebook to Simplify Privacy Settings
In an interview, Facebook's chief of public policy, Tim Sparapani, said that Facebook is working on a new simplified version of their current privacy offerings. Facebook has been in the news lately for so many -- we'll call them "hiccups" -- in their privacy standards. They claim people want things public, and exercise that theory by touting new features such as the widely criticized instant personalization. One tremendously incredible online technology blog even went so far as to ask the question: Will Facebook's privacy issues be it's ultimate downfall?
But it appears Facebook has heard. Tim says in the interview:
Now we've heard from our users that we have gotten a little bit complex, I think we are going to work on that...We are going to be providing options for users who want simplistic bands of privacy that they can choose from and I think we will see that in the next couple of weeks.Watch the interview video below for more on the subject.
