Today at Google I/O besides Google TV, Google unveiled the next version of Android, version 2.2 codename "Froyo". The new version includes many minor enhancements such as new home screen shortcuts for phone and web, more search options, a couple new widgets, an HQ option for YouTube, and more.

The two killer features would be the ability to set your phone as a WiFi hotspot for computers and other devices to connect to and Flash 10.1 coming in Android 2.2. Not to mention, Froyo feels much faster than 2.1.
