Bing Adds Facebook Content to Bing Social Search
Microsoft's Bing search engine will launch Bing Social later today at bing.com/social that will include both Facebook and Twitter updates. This will provide an easier way to search live streaming content all over the web via social networks. Bing already has a Twitter search at bing.com/twitter launched a few months ago, but now apparently both Facebook and Twitter results will be fused together on the Social search.
As for what content will be displayed, Bing says that all fan page status updates and links will be displayed. Any non-fan pages will only show just links and those links must have their privacy setting set to "everyone". This insures that no one's private data will be revealed in the search engine. No names or photos of the person who posted a specific link will be revealed either. Tweets, however, will show a small thumbnail and username. Read Bing's full announcement here.
