GameStop Reveals XBox 360 Kinect Pricing
Uh oh, looks like this one slipped. Microsoft had their lips shut tight today at E3 when it came time to announce pricing for Kinect, but apparently Gamestop knows the juicy details. I have to tell you, they aren't looking good.
GameStop apparently has pricing for Kinect between $150 and $400 on their website. Kinect for the most recent XBox 360 will be at $150, but for the previous Elite model it will skyrocket to $400. Also, there seems to be an Arcade bundle at $300. So now we are talking a lot of cash. If you buy the new XBox 360 (some are calling it the Slim), you will pay up $300, plus Kinect, plus a 12-month XBox Live subscription, plus any additional Kinect games (let's say you buy two of them). You're talking about spending around $600 for this whole thing. Microsoft, that's a lot of money.
