Google Chrome OS to Launch This Fall

Google announced at Computex 2010 that Google Chrome OS, Google's own netbook-targeted operating system, will debut this Fall. Its release was previously planned for Q2. That may narrow down the range of possible release dates to about three months, but doesn't give us the specifics just yet.

Google Chrome OS will be an operating system based off of the Google Chrome web browser. It's aimed to satisfy the Internet era. While other operating systems such as Windows and Mac design their OS around the computer's environment as a whole, Chrome OS aims specifically at Internet use.
