Engadget just received a formal invitation (not Bitts because we aren't nearly as popular, but still great right?) to join Verizon Wireless, Google, Motorola, and Adobe in unleashing the "next generation of Droid". By this, they almost certainly mean the Motorola Droid 2 or rumored Droid X. The pressure is on as all four companies will have to promote their new product a day before the widely-praised Apple iPhone 4 arrives on shelves. Because our last live chat was a great success, Bitts might host a live chat during the new Droid event. Be on the look out for details.
