Sony Announces PlayStation Move Details
Today at E3 Sony announced further details of PlayStation Move, their get-up-and-go strategy to compete with the Nintendo Wii. PlayStation Move will feature two main components: the wand and the eye toy (yes the eye toy is back). There's also an additional nunchuck controller if needed. Instead of being an entirely separate game console, PlayStation Move will be available as an addon to the current PlayStation models -- most notably, the PS3.
Some titles announced today at the keynote include Sorcery and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11. Both demonstrate how the Move gets you into the game by using the wand to zap away goblins or make a hole-in-one as Tiger Woods in golf. As for the eye toy, in certain games it will be able to further take you into the game by putting your full self right onto the screen to interact with other characters in the game as if you were in the game with them.

PlayStation Move will go for just $49.99 (a lot cheaper than its more advanced cousin, Kinect) and the navigation controller, or Nunchuck, will be an additional $19.99. There will also be two different bundles. The Move Sports Champions bundle will be $99 and will include the wand, eye toy, and Sony's Sports Champions game. The PlayStation 3 Sports Champions bundle will include a PlayStation 3, wand, eye toy, and the same game for $399.
PlayStation Move will arrive in the United States for purchase on September 19th.
