Apple Already Testing iPhone 6?
After Apple's press conference on the iPhone antenna issues, a select group of people were allowed to then go tour their specially designed anechoic chambers for testing. Inside those chambers were not only the large, spiked, foam walls, but also many "things" set aside hidden under black cloaks that no one was allowed to touch or look under. MG Siegler of TechCrunch reported the following:
At one point we were told that the iPad had been in testing in this facility “for years.” Even more interesting may be that the iPhone 4 specifically had been in testing in these chambers for 2 years. You know that means. Not only was the iPhone 5 likely in the same room that we were in. But the iPhone 6 may have been around as well. Not only is it very interesting that a future only known by certain people at Apple may very well have been in that same room, but also the fact that two years ago at the launch of the iPhone 3G, the iPhone 4 may have already been planned. The striking design, 5MP camera, LED flash, even FaceTime all could have been planned or even implemented in what was then a future model.
On top of that, in that same room, there was probably the second-generation iPad or even the third. That room not only serves as a testing chamber for new products, but a good amount of Apple's secrets -- prized possessions in the world of technology -- were right underneath a thin, black cloak.
