Get Your Free iPhone 4 Case Starting Today
On the plus side of some fairly bad iPhone news this morning, Apple has launched its iPhone 4 case program in the form of an iPhone app. Anyone who bought an iPhone previously or buys one up until September 30th is completely eligible for a free case. Just download the iPhone 4 Case Program app in the app store, launch it, and you'll be able to choose one of eight different cases.
The cases include:
- Apple Bumper (black)
- Incase Snap (smoke)
- Incase Snap (clear)
- Belkin Shield Micra (clear)
- Griffin Motif (diamonds/smoke)
- Griffin Reveal Etch (black graphite)
- Speck Fitted Case (black tartan)
- Speck PixelSkin HD (black)
These were already on the market previously, but now you can choose one to be shipped to you within 3-5 weeks for free. These only apply to iPhone 4 devices and you can only receive one case per iPhone. Apple announced that they would be giving away free cases last week at a last minute conference to address the widely publicized antenna issues of the iPhone 4. They claimed only 0.55% of all Apple Care customers reported an issue, but they wanted to make all their customers happy -- and of course soothe the media.
Update (2:25p ET): A YouTube user by the name of therevivedone posted a really great tutorial on how to order your iPhone 4 case and use the free app. Watch the video below.
