HTC EVO 4G Giveaway Cancelled, But...
It's my great displeasure to inform all of you that our HTC EVO 4G Giveaway has been cancelled. It seems like a very unprofessional thing to do, but I am going to make it up to you because I realize Bitts has a very loyal following and I can't begin to express my incredible appreciation for it. Here's why the giveaway has been cancelled.
Why? As you may know, this giveaway was entirely possible thanks to my friend Guisel who ordered an HTC EVO 4G before WWDC, fell in love with the iPhone 4 afterward, and then partnered up with Bitts to giveaway her Evo, on what was going to be her YouTube channel. Unfortunately, we had a dispute over the regulations of the giveaway along with some privacy concerns I disagreed with and we came to very hard decision to cancel the giveaway.
Is this a scam? I know in the back of your mind you are already accusing us of this entire thing being a scam. It's understandable, I would too. It's not and I'll tell you why. If it were a scam, we'd have no reason to be cancelling right now. We would have went on with the giveaway and would have announced a fake winner of some sort. On top of that, if it was a scam we could have just as easily "given away" an iPhone 4, seeing that that's the more publicized smartphone right now. Lastly, it can't be a scam because of what I'm going to announce right now.
So we're just left hanging? Absolutely not. You may be wondering why there's a "but..." in the title of this article. As I said before, I incredibly appreciate so many loyal followers that have accumulated just over the past few months and I refuse to let any of them down. So, in order to giveaway at least something, I personally will be giving away a $20 Amazon gift card. It's certainly not a smartphone, but it's something, and it's entirely on me this time. All those who entered for the HTC EVO 4G Giveaway will automatically be entered to win the gift card. It's a token of my appreciation as well as my deep regrets in cancelling a big giveaway. The winner for the $20 gift card will be announced tomorrow, July 17th, on our Twitter account.
Thank you very much for getting this far in the article without leaving to go unsubscribe after the first few sentences, and I hope you will accept my apology on the matter. Hopefully things will work out next time around.
