Tumblr Passes One Billion Posts

Today Tumblr has passed a huge milestone: one billion posts. Tumblr's current 7.2 million users have now generated over a billion posts, and it's still going strong. This news comes just hours after the announcement of an official Android app. The counter on the About page has broken since reaching this goal, but should most likely be fixed soon.

Some other fun stats about Tumblr include:
  • over 5.2 million posts per day
  • 1.7 billion pageviews per month
