I won't be going into much detail about this because TechCrunch has pretty much stated their case on their own. It was first reported that Facebook was building a phone in secrecy and was being worked on by Joe Hewitt and Matthew Papakipos. Then Facebook released an official statement that TechCrunch's rumors were incorrect and Facebook was not working on a phone.

Well, TechCrunch is not resting as easily as we all probably assumed. Just moments ago, author MG Siegler posted an article explaining that Facebook could very well still be working on a phone. Both Google and Microsoft in the past claimed they weren't working on a phone when they were, and it's possible Facebook is playing that same game. Check out MG's article right here and take a side!
