Verizon to Hold Off on Windows Phone 7 Devices

Bloomberg is reporting that Verizon Wireless will not be joining the Windows Phone 7 parade at its launch sometime soon. Bloomberg goes as far to say that Verizon doesn't even plan on launching a Windows Phone 7 smartphone until sometime in 2011. AT&T has already been rumored to be one of the first ones to launch a WP7 device by the end of the this year, and it's now looking like AT&T is going to be one of the most diverse phone providers.

What once looked like an iPhone monopoly on AT&T is slowly fading away with the release of multiple Android handsets and now WP7. Verizon, on the other hand, has been heavily relying on their large selection of Android smartphones -- and that's about it. WP7 looks to be like the new dominant mobile OS for business users, that is if RIM doesn't step up their game.
