Paul Thurrott, the guy behind Windows SuperSite, seems to be pretty confident that Microsoft is working on apps for the iPad app store. He tweeted yesterday:

Shhh…. It’s true: Microsoft is working on iPad apps.

If this is true, what could Microsoft be working on? Windows Live Messenger and Bing are already in the iPhone app store and very well could be coming to iPad. But maybe it's not just that. Apple currently offers a special edition of iWork available in the iPad app store for $30 all-together and it's definitely possible Microsoft is planning to release Microsoft Office for iPad as well to compete with iWork. iPad users, would you prefer Office over iWork on your iPad for the right price and set of features?
