Palm Takes Wraps Off of webOS 2.0 and Palm Pre 2
Palm today announced tons of new features in their mobile operating system known as webOS 2.0 as well as the new Palm Pre 2. We'll get to the latter in a moment.
An abundance of new features and refinements have been added into webOS 2.0. Some of these include "Just Type", a feature that allows you do almost anything on your phone like find an app or even compose an email just by beginning to type something, multitasking stacks for organizing open apps, OTA software updates and services, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support, and HP Synergy, which is a feature that can basically sync everything from the web directly to your phone like email accounts and social networks.
As for the Palm Pre 2, instead of being first available on Sprint, it looks like this time its heading straight to Verizon Wireless. The design looks pretty much the same for the most part -- shaped like an egg. It still has the crappy keyboard as well. Oh and the 3.1" 320x480 display isn't really too enticing either. It does have a 5MP camera with LED flash and video, 16GB of built-in storage, mobile hotspot, and plenty of speed improvements though.
No release date has been announced yet, and I look forward to some more information expected soon.
